The Mardi Gras fundraiser will take place on Thursday, February 23rd, it is a food tasting event held at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center, after which Immaculate Conception Academy’s crew handles the cleanup. This is an excellent way to make $2,000.00 for our school in just two hours time. The clean-up is from 10:00 p.m. to 12:00 p.m. The cleanup must be finished by midnight, so the faster everyone works, the sooner you may go home. (Last year, we finished in about an hour.) On Friday, February 24th, the Academy will be on “B” schedule.
We are asking for about 50 people, high school students and adults, to help with the cleanup. The workers must report by 9:30 p.m. to begin work from 10:00 p.m. to midnight. They will be assigned to groups for the various jobs involved. Please bring comfortable shoes and rubber gloves.
Due to limited parking spaces, a group will meet at the Academy at 9:00 p.m. to car pool to the convention center. Those interested in car pooling, please call Lisa Reist at 513-867-8993. If you are not car pooling, please meet at 9:30 p.m. at the front steps of the convention center which is located at the corner of Johnson Street and Rivercenter Blvd.
